The estate is today owned by the Groot Constantia Trust, an association incorporated under Section 21 of the Companies Act of 1973, which is committed to maintain and restore this national monument. Constantia stands as a pinion of excellence for the wine industry and is an ideal example for the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of the country.

Groot Constantia Wines
Groot Constantia is noted particularly for its production of high-quality red wines, including Shiraz, Merlot and blended red Gouverneurs Reserve. In 2003 the estate began production of a Constantia dessert wine, called Grand Constance, for the first time since the 1880s. Currently their wines have all been awarded with very high accolades including scooping 5 golds at the international wine awards 2013.
